1st Philippine Conference on Free and Open Source Software in Governance

Good day! Welcome to my blog on FLOSS, or free/libre/open-source software. This is where you'll hear my rants on the ever-growing movement for free software.

With that out of the way, let me announce that the 1st Philippine Conference on Free and Open Source Software in eGovernance will kick off today, March 7, 2007, at the EDSA Shangri-La Hotel, Mandaluyong City. Sponsored by the Institute for Popular Democracy and made possible by a grant from the Small Projects Facility of the Delegation of the European Commission to the Philippines, the conference will gather FOSS users, advocates and developers espousing the use of FOSS in local government. For more info, head on over to the conference website. The IPD website can be found here.
